Still Life? I guess that’s what you call the photos in this post… Anyway, I had an idea to shoot some of my favorite things… My 90′s hip hop tape collection, or at least a portion of it. I still want to shoot the whole thing but I need a bigger room! Anyway, check out my first draft, there will be more to come!

Sun City West, AZ (or northwest of Phoenix)

Jenny and I took a little vacation to visit some family in Sun City West, AZ a couple of weeks ago… It’s a retirement community northwest of Phoenix. I love the desert environment and the landscaping of Sun City West, so I brought along my camera to see what I could come up with… The community is kind of secluded behind a wall, which I was obsessed with capturing… I think the photos can do a better job of explaining it than I can…

I had the opportunity recently to shoot headshots for a couple of talented emerging actors… Both of them are from the great state of colorado but live elsewhere to pursue their passions… So when they were back home visiting, they called me up for some headshots… Check it out…

The march issue of 303 Magazine is out, go check it out!

Anyway, I have some photos in this issue, and I wanted to show some others that didn’t get chosen for publication but I really liked. So I’m going to break this into 2 posts… On with the first.

This is the Colorado Ballet practicing for Tribute, which will be performing later this month,

The next is the local Denver band, Swayback.

New Scans from Old Film

So, I’ve been trying to slowly process and scan all the film that i’ve shot over the last 7-8 years… I think there’s still 20 or so rolls left and that’s on top of the film I still continue to shoot! Anyway, I processed a few rolls the other day from 4 years ago I think and came across a couple of cool shots that I really liked… and they inspired me to do a little series that continues with the look… So hopefully I’ll have more shots like this one to post soon and we’ll see what comes of it!

New Headshot for Denver Pastor, Dr. Jim Dixon

Had the opportunity to shoot a new headshot for Cherry Hills Community Church senior pastor, Dr. Jim Dixon, recently at his home south of Denver… They are celebrating their 30th anniversary at the church and Dr. Dixon thought it a good time to update his photo… He is a great person and couldn’t have been nicer, check out his headshot…

So it’s 2012 now, a month in even, and since the end of the world is imminent, I’ve got some new projects in the works for trojanphoto… trojanphoto llc, is now an official business in the state of CO, no more working under my name… trojanphoto sounds way cooler than Sam Trojanovich anyway…

I’ve opened the shop on here, where I’m selling prints in various sizes. (and soon other cool stuff) Please check it out, if I do say so myself, the prints are pretty affordable and in a limited edition.

I’m continuing to shoot for 303 Magazine, which I’m very excited about! And I made a personal pact to push myself even harder at each shoot and try and create something unique and eye catching for the articles.

I want to expand my photographic offerings and I’m going to be doing more creative family photos, hand printed black and white fine art portraits, and adding some unique architectural photography… Also, I have several ideas for image series’s and maybe even a couple of documentary projects this summer…

Thanks to everyone who has supported me! I’m so happy to have the love and support to keep me going and staying positive!

Happy Halloween-Promo Images for 13th Floor

I got the opportunity to shoot some promo images for Chris Stafford, owner of the 13th Floor haunted house here in Denver… 303 Magazine had originally assigned me to shoot a portrait of Chris for the October issue and he wanted me to come back and shoot for him… It was fun to see the haunted house the the lights on, and see what goes on behind the scenes… Check out some photos… These first couple are of people being scared which is something that he wanted to get out of this shoot…
